More and more freinds!

Nikki and Alexis Tobias usually walk with us to playgroup every thursday morning, but they weren't able to make it to the pool so they came by later that night with Andy and Alex Couey (and baby Noah -- I will call him baby Noah because they havn't decided on a name yet. Alex loves the name Noah--as do I--but Andy doesn't like it at all).
Alexis is such a doll and is teaching Aubrey all about being a baby. She taught Aubrey to sit up and is now teaching her to crawl. Thank goodness for such wonderful friends!
Girls will be girls. I'm just glad that in this picture they're "fighting" over a pacifier and not something else -- like a boy! Although with Gabe being the only boy in the playgroup it won't be long before they start fighting over him (especially as handsome as he is)!

There is an ever impending question as to which is better, Duke or UNC. Andy Couey and Paul Tobias think Duke is, but we know better. We wanted to add this picture to prove that point. Look at this Picture and tell me which is better -- and by better we mean cuter (sorry Andy, while you're handsome you just can't beat the baby)! Point proven...UNC is better! Go Tarheels!

Playgroup at the pool!

We went swimming at the Harmon's for our playgroup and had a blast!
Kayla Harmon was such a help in giving my arm a rest and playing with Aubrey!
Megan Harmon was also a big help in pushing Aubrey around in this fun toy (thanks Heather for letting her play in it)!
Aubrey seemed to have learned the hard way that pool water does not taste as good as drinking water!
Aubrey's other friend Eliza Olsen came and swam with us too! We all had a great time and we can't wait to do it again!

Aubrey's friends!

Every thursday we have a playgroup with some other babies in our area (thanks to SVU there are a lot of young mothers with babies)! This past thursday the Harmon's were kind enough to let us use their pool for our playgroup. Here are some of Aubrey's friends that were there with her!
Anna Julia Hadfield

Gabe Eldridge (the only boy the lucky duck)

Moana Adams

Mercy Berry

We feel so blessed to have so many friends so close. Aubrey loves thursday mornings, and even though she falls asleep during every playgroup, she loves her new friends! Mommy is also very grateful to have other adults to interact with on a regular basis. It is a nice reminder that I know english and not just baby jibberish (which I am now fluent in) :)! Life is good!

Aubrey and Alyssa

I have been watching a friend of our's daughter Alyssa for this week until she starts kindergarten. Alyssa is such a good "mommy" and helps change Aubrey's diapers (which makes me happy :) and push her stroller. Alyssa is lots of fun and we'll miss her when she goes back to school!

6 month birthday party!

Here is Aubrey on her 6 month birthday! She gets cuter everyday and more fun every second! We had dinner with Grandma and Grandpa Smith and then let her have fun with her very own cake (don't worry -- she didn't eat it). She's so much fun, and quite the mess!

Almost crawling...

It won't be long before Aubrey decides that she is bored of staying in the same place and realizes she can move herself. She has mastered balancing herself on her hands and knees and loves to rock back and forth. But that isn't good enough for our little acrobat! She now loves to lift one of her legs up in the air and balance on two hands and one leg! I havn't documented in any pictures yet but will work on that! Aubrey is so much fun to watch as she learns and discovers new things literally everyday. These are the things that make life exciting!

After all that exercising and working towads crawling, Aubrey likes to just sit back and chill -- she is so much like her parents!

Her poor toys...

We had an extremely rough day with Aubrey teething on Monday. She screamed nearly the entire evening, thank goodness for teething tablets...they have been our life savers! I feel a bit more sympathetic for her toys, which for no good reason at all she takes her teething pain out on. Better her than us I suppose :)! It is hard to believe she will be six months in a week! She is growing more each day -- literally-- and also becomes more interactive and fun! We sure do love our munchkin!

Mommy's baby doll...

Aubrey was at Grandma's house playing the other day and Aunt Georgi found Lacey's old baby doll that her grandma Smith had given her. It was one of those with the attached blanket and Aubrey just loved it!

Great-grandpa Reget's whiskers...

It has been wonderful having great-grandpa Reget living so close to us. Aubrey has become obsessed with his "whiskers" and loves to play with them. She also loves it when he puts his head down so his bald head shows and then slowly look up at her. She will stare and giggle when he does it and it makes us all laugh! What a pair these two -- we're so glad that his surgery went so well and can't wait to see him again soon!

Another Atlanta trip...

We took another road trip down to Atlanta for a wedding and Aubrey was able to spend some more time with Gigi and Grandpa Lenahan (whose real identity is Santa Clause but poses as Terry Lenahan of Marietta, GA during his off time). Aubrey got to stay in her PJ's all day and LOVED it! When all is said and done, it was worth the 16 hours in the car!
